Cognitive-behavioral therapy has become one of most applicable and easy to understand therapies for children, adolescents, and parents. It's a combination of restructuring one's thoughts and cognitions, and changing behaviors that are harmful. CBT can be extremely powerful and life changing if the client is truly putting the effort into the therapy and the work that needs to be done on an ongoing basis at home.
