Let's be honest - these days kids are complicated. With technology, social media, and general childhood woes, sometimes a little extra help is needed to create a happy, healthy childhood. Child & Adolescent therapy is provided through a combination of play therapy, cognitive/behavioral therapy, and solution focused techniques, in order to facilitate a positive, trusting relationship. This promotes the most growth and change in an environment in which children/teens are most comfortable.
PARENTING THERAPY
Navigating parenthood, with the constant challenges of social media, growing addiction to devices and video games, and in some cases, defiant behavior, can prove to be difficult to manage. Not only for the individual, but for the whole family. Through positive disciplining techniques, and my style of therapy, I can help you feel empowered while parenting your child, as well as being encouraged that your family is working together harmoniously.

Perhaps your child is having some behavioral issues at home that you are concerned about, or your teenager is dealing with social anxiety. It may be that you and your spouse are going through a divorce and your child is having a difficult time getting through the transition. Whatever your family's needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes, reactions, and coping skills.
